Lorien is searching for a skilled operator with extensive experience operating robotics via Remote Control. The qualified candidate will act as an operations specialist assisting in the development and test of cutting edge safety related technologies. The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties. The candidate should demonstrate attention to... detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology. This individual will also conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- 2+ years of RC pilot experience with excellent coordination and execution
- Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
-Experience leading small teams
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with commercial UAS industry
- Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar
- Current US fixed-wing or rotorcraft pilot's certificate.
- Excellent communications and reporting skills
Day in the life- Preflight, fill out risk assessment, check the weather, who gets what aircraft, go out in vans with your equipment, fly specific flight profiles, come back to the office, fill out log book with what happened during flight/any problems, transition aircraft back to maintenance team
• Hard Skills- sound judgment during flight, decent communication style and even keel demeanor. They will be client facing, interacting with customers and public.
• Safety is important- say something to the manager if something doesn’t seem right
• Always room for improvement, R&D mindset would love to improve
• Clear communication
• Controlled maneuvers- no flips, tricks, etc. with the drones

US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team (Multimedia Developers, Quality Assurance, Instructions System Designers, Subject Matter Experts, Instructors)
• Experience and certification in ATC Tower, TRACON or En Route simulation lab
• Effective oral and written communications skills
• Working knowledge of the FAAO JO 7110.65
• Effective team building skills
• MS Office Suite Proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
• Basic familiarization of current technologic tools (tablets, notebooks, applications, etc.)
